Wright, Margaret
Margaret WRIGHT was born in Scotland and first worked as a photographer in conjunction with her brother-in-law, Alexander Phillip. The firm Phillip & Wright had a studio at 75 Albert Road (opposite New Town Hall), Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. This partnership dissolved in 1894, when Margaret was joined at 75 Albert Road by her niece Gladys, who started as her apprentice. The Margaret Wright studio was also commissioned to undertake industrial photography on location, until, at least, 1933. Source: Women photographers in 19th century Britain.
