Peterkin, Wilbur J.
Major (later Colonel) Wilbur J. PETERKIN (威爾伯·彼得金少校) (1904-1996) arrived in Yan’an, north China, in March 1944 as part of the United States Army Observer Group (aka the Dixie Mission and the Observer Section). Peterkin took many photographs in the Chinese communist anti-Japanese base areas and met the Lindsays. It seems that many years after the Second World War, Peterkin sent Michael Lindsay some of his prints.
