No caption on the back of this photograph, which may be a portrait of Augustus Anthony, taken during building works, probably in UK (painted on the ‘water tank’ beside him: ‘BORO[UGH] …’). Augustus Anthony worked for the Imperial Maritime Customs Service (Chinese Maritime Customs Service) from 1911 to 1913.
