University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Bi-s004. Translation of the message written on the front of the post card: ‘Victoria Road, the main road of the English concession, where we spent every day. The trees are in leaf now’. The photograph on the post card shows the trees in a dormant season without leaves and the writer of the post card must have been in the city at a different season. The Tientsin Club moved to a new building in 1905. See He01-119.
