University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Fu-n137. This is the garden of a private residence near Hangzhou. The garden was planned and built during the Ming Dynasty, A.D. 1368-1644. Fu Bingchang, wearing a changpao, is posed with a prized petrified log by an oval moon gate. Other interestingly shaped rocks may be Tai rock, or Taihu, from Lake Tai, in the Yangtze Delta.
