University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: HD-s46. HD-s46 is a detail from HD-s43. The plot of 'The Chimney Corner', a domestic drama, by H.T. Craven can be gathered from a detailed report in the North-China Herald of a performance by the Amateur Dramatic Club on Tuesday 3 June 1873, at the Club Concordia (NCH 7 June 1873). However this performance had a different cast from HD-s43. R.W."Bob" Little was an early editor at the 'North China Daily News' and the brother of (the more famous) Archibald John Little.
