University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hi-s003. Charles Batten Hillier (1820-1856) was the Chief Magistrate of Hong Kong, 1847-1856 and HM Consul to Siam, 1856. He was the father of Charles William Hillier, Sir Walter Caine Hillier, Harry Mason Hillier, Eleanor Maud Hillier and Edward Guy Hillier. See Hi-s002.
