Notes
University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hn02-263. It is said that if you toss a stone on to the elephant's back - and it stays there - you will have long life, good luck, and a large family. The young man is unidentified, perhaps the same man in Hn02-231. See JC-s112 and Pe01-059 (same place).
