University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hn06-283. Nellie Thomas was a cousin of Sarah Hutchinson. She cared for her niece, Thelma Thiis, after the death of her sister, Elizabeth (known as Bessie) and before her marriage to Peter Kulstad. Thelma and her brother, Carl, were later sent to live in Norway by their father. Gladys Hutchinson is in the background.
