Sichuan Road Bridge (四川路桥), over Suzhou Creek, is in the foreground. Tram wires overhead. In the middle is a dye house, with bamboo staging above the roof for drying cloth. The American Milford Elsworth Wright (1861-1918) was a stereoscopic photographer and publisher, trading under the name ‘Excelsior Stereoscopic Tours’, based in Hollingreave Road, Burnley, Lancashire, England.
