Ching Wah Lee (1901-1980) was an actor and scholar, born in San Francisco, USA, and known for his part in ‘The Good Earth’ (1937). Anna May Wong (1905-1961), born Wong Liu Tsong (黃柳霜) in Los Angeles, USA, is considered the first Chinese American film star. She is depicted on the American quarter dollar coin. Ella Raines (1920-1988), film and television actress, starred in the film noir ‘Impact’ (1949).
