Notes
University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: JC01-02. Hong Kong’s Cenotaph is an almost exact replica of the Cenotaph in London designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Most probably this photograph was taken on Armistice Day (11 November), perhaps in 1924. On the right is Statue Pier (later Queen's Pier 皇后碼頭) under construction. This pier opened in October 1925. See JC01-04.
