University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Pa01-06. Wanhsien or Wan hsien (Wanxian), Sichuan province. Near the Yangtse River. Another image of this bridge is reproduced in 'Glimpses of the Yantze Gorges' by Cornell Plant (Kelly & Walsh, 1921) and captioned: ‘BRIDGE CONNECTING TOWN OF WAN WITH ITS SUBURB’. The building on the bridge is said to have been a tea house, catering for travellers.
