The Bremen registered 'Meishun' was built in 1900, destroyed by fire in 1911, rebuilt, purchased in 1912 from North German Lloyd, Bremen, and sank in gale at Osaka 1945. Thousands watched it burn in Shanghai on 25 August 1911, after an explosion in the hold. See 'North China Herald', 2 September 1911, pp. 571-572.
