University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: UB-s05. This is the tomb of the first Qing Emperor (Hong Taiji) and his Empress Xiaoduanwen (Jerjer), built in 1643-51. Hong Taiji (1592-1643) was the founding emperor of the Qing dynasty. Zhao Mausoleum or North Mausoleum (Zhaoling or Beiling), Huanggu District, Shenyang (Mukden), Liaoning. The tumulus is on the right. Photograph donated to Special Collections, University of Bristol Library (DM3131). See Sw20-135.
