No caption in the album for this photo of a Chinese monastery in a rocky valley with Chinese inscriptions on rocks & stonework and on a sign on the building. Kushan (Ku-shan-shih; Gushan) monastery, also known in English as the Monastery of the Bubbling (or Boiling) Spring. John Thomson took a similar view. See also Sw13-143.
