The Tan Chueh Ssu (T'an Chou Ssu) Monastery (Monastery of Clear Pools and Wild Mulberry or Temple of the Pool and the Zhe Tree), Western Hills, Peking (Beijing). The ancient monastery is six miles north-west of Chieh T'ai Ssu. Both monasteries feature in the novel ‘Peking Picnic’ by Ann Bridge (1932).
