The building on the left in this crop, is the Oriental Bank (a new premises, built in 1869). Photograph taken prior to trees growing near where the pony and cart (with a foreign boy passenger) are standing. Photograph taken prior to embankment of the Bund (1886). So approximate date: 1869 - early 1870s. See BL01-08 and Hv38-09.
