University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hn01-058. See Hn01-078 (same occasion), Hn01-079, Hn01-119. There is some confusion about the date of birth for Charles Vivian Hutchinson. He was born to Elizabeth (nee Notely-White) on 11 July 1894, or 1896. If the later year, this was shortly before the marriage of Elizabeth to William Hutchinson (15 September 1896). He would be aged around 18 to 20 years old in the summer of 1912, and looks more slender than in later photographs. Charles died in Hong Kong, 15 September 1958.
