University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Mx02-069. Cadbury Research Library archive finding number: DA26/2/2/1 (John Preston Maxwell Papers). Itineration in the Wesleyan Methodist tradition is preaching within a circuit. It is likely that Dr Maxwell combined medical and pastoral work. Ûnsio is now Yunxiao; the "Ûnsio river" is probably the Zhang River.
