On the right is Sir Reginald Fleming Johnston (庄士敦爵士)(1874-1938), the British diplomat who later served as tutor and adviser to Puyi, the last Emperor of China. The portrait was a diplomatic gift to Duke Kong, lineal descendent of Confucius.
