A group of ten men in front of a screen

A group of ten men in front of a screen

Notes

University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: PF01-56. This print was affixed in the album on top of another print, which could be a similar view - perhaps a variant? Albert's elder brother, Commissary-General George Ignatius Pirkis (1829-1890), might be the third man from the left? The man standing on the right might be General Charles Gordon (1833-1885), commander of the ‘Ever Victorious Army’? Unidentified location - perhaps Beijing? See PF01-67 (another print).
