University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: PK01-39. The church was burnt out on 21st June 1870 during the "Tientsin Massacre". "Our Lady of Victory" (Wanghailou or Wanghai Lou) Roman Catholic church was restored/rebuilt several times and still stands.
