Fiddament, taken during a round the world fact finding trip. Name on name plate: "Major-General E.C. Hayes". Hayes was G.O.C. British Troops in China. Caption in Air Vice-Marshal A.L. Fiddament's notebook: General Hayes door plate (as in all Chungking, which is short of electricity – with overloaded generating station, all lights are left on night and day). 1/12/45.
