Bridge across the Yellow river entering Lanchow, Kansu province, 1949 / Photo by Malcom Roshalt / In a letter from a professor at the railway college at Lanchow (10 years ago, I had asked him if this bridge was still standing and used, and he joked that I knew there was a bridge there, which he told me the British had built in 1919. But big new bridge now carried most of traffic and I assume it's also a railroad bridge / Now you can start a new book - the bridges of ?? Photo By Malcolm Rosholt.
