Lambert and Co., from an album held in University of Bristol Library, Special Collections (ref: DM2520/1). The rickshaw is branded with a stencil: ‘H.C.D. / 2540 / 95’. H.C.D. indicates that it is a Singaporean rickshaw (Source: ‘Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser’, 25 August 1891, page 4). The location mentioned in the caption in the album is therefore incorrect.
