University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: WC01-152. The southeastern Inner City (Tartar City) guard tower, Dongbianmen (东便门), Tung Pien Men, known as ‘Fox Tower’. The tower was damaged by shelling by Russian artillery during the rescue of the foreign Legations at Beijing in August 1900. See NA03-41.
