University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: FB02-04. The man sitting on the right is probably Archie Chappel. The man standing on the left seems to be holding open a page in a dictionary or directory. On the desk is a pot of glue. Newspapers are stacked in a corner, with winter coats and hats by the piles. On the wall is a framed photograph of the Church of the Holy Protection (Boxer Memorial). Also a calendar advertising the South British Fire & Marine Insurance Company Ltd - day 10.
