See OH01-020, OH01-022, OH01-060 and OH02-15. (Her Britannic Majesty's) 2nd Beloochee (Belooch; Baluch) Battalion were in China in 1862-63, to help suppress the Taiping Rebellion. The memorial commemorates those who died during the Taiping Rebellion, and reads as follows: TO THE MEMORY OF THE OFFICERS AND MEN OF H.B.Ms. 19th BELOOCHEE REGIMENT WHO DIED AT SHANGHAI IN THE YEARS 1862-63.
