University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Sn-s02. The caption on the print (which is numbered 9) is in Japanese. The Huanggutan Incident at Huanggutan railway station, near Mukden (Shenyang). This was the assassination of the Fengtian warlord Zhang Zuolin (Chang Tso Lin; Chang Tso-lin), whose train was blown up. Zhang died of his injuries a few days later.
