In this photograph of part of the Yoa Hua Studio made to look like a tea house, the five men are posed as if having a meal. In the background are framed and enlarged photographs of courtesans (photographed in c.1890s), as well as a mirror. The studio was well known for its larger than life-size prints and technical sophistication.
