University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Ca01-064. Chefoo (Yantai). Dr Mary Tiffen notes that this photo was almost certainly taken by Mr Kirschstein, who seems to have been at least a semi-professional photographer. The picture was reproduced on postcards, often hand coloured. In the foreground, in the pine wood on Temple Hill is a cemetery. In the distance, Settlement Hill.
