Lily Crellin was the wife of Thomas Frank Crellin (1883-1949), a photographer and cinematographer based in Shanghai from c.1923 to 1927. On the left of this photograph is an ornamental rock – taihu stone (太湖石). The exquisite Jade Rock (Nine-lion Rockery) in the lake on Lesser Yingzhou Island, West Lake, Hangzhou (‘Three Pools Mirroring the Moon’). See GJ01-058.
