University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hi01-08. Dorothy Cobb (1889-1963), daughter of Harry and Maggie Hillier, married Charles Cobb on 24 September 1910, in Tianjin (Tientsin). The pony is probably a polo pony belonging to William Venn Drummond. William Venn Drummond was Dorothy Cobb's grandfather and he owned a large stable of polo ponies, stabled at 'Dennartt' in Shanghai. See Hi01-10 and Hi01-12.
