University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hi01-12. Dorothy Cobb (1889-1963), daughter of Harry and Maggie Hillier, married Charles Cobb on 24 September 1910, in Tianjin (Tientsin). The ponies are probably polo ponies belonging to William Venn Drummond. William Venn Drummond was Dorothy Cobb's grandfather and he owned a large stable of polo ponies, stabled at 'Dennartt' in Shanghai. See Hi01-08 and Hi01-10.
