Caption in Fiddament's notebook: "Chungking. Col Li & Patricia 1/12/45". Patricia Liddell accompanied Fiddament on the round the world trip. Patricia Liddell (nee Patton-Bethune) was born in 1923 and was a Section Officer in the WAAF (Women's Auxiliary Air Force) during the Second World War. She married Ian Oswald Liddell in January 1945. Ian Oswald Liddell was killed on 21 April 1945 and posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.
