University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Ep02-069. The woman on the left is in a coracle-like tub, probably harvesting water caltrop (Trapa natans or Trapa bicornis), also known as buffalo nut, ling nut, or more generally, water chestnut. Three oarsmen (probably members of the Shanghai Rowing Club) are watching, and, in turn, are being watched by two children. See Ep01-721 and OH03-010.
