Albert Edmeades Pirkis (January 1840 - July 1885) married Elizabeth (Bessie) L’Evesque (1836-1900) in April 1869 in Shoreditch, London. Albert Pirkis is smoking a cigar. The Chinese man may be a servant of the Pirkis’- he is also in PF01-04. In the background a man in uniform is watching, wearing a dark jacket and light-coloured trousers - perhaps a Legation Guard?
