'Taiping' or 'Tae-ping' (i.e. 'Heavenly Peace') was the hong of Gilman, Bowman & Co., tea traders, and the residence of William and Elizabeth Vacher. 'Tai-ping' appears to have shared a garden with Sin-tai-ping: VH02-176.
