Notes
University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: LH-s01. 'Lyn' is most probably Henry Lyn Harris (later principal of St Christopher School, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, England), who was a nephew of Dr Lucy Harris. Dr Lucy Harris is the woman on the right. The woman on the left might be Mrs Davidson? On the table is a box of Huntley and Palmers Reading Biscuits and a tin of Cadbury's Cocao Essence. Behind the woman on the right is a sedan chair. The original negative must have had a crack in it prior to the print being made. Lucy Harris graduated M.B. in 1898 from the London School of Medicine for Women, and worked at Clapham Maternity Hospital before taking up a position in Sichuan in 1902.
